Barista/Market Attendant - Full Time

The Market Barista will provide service in the grab-and-go cafe located on the property of the hotel. This position is responsible for fulfilling guest orders, preparing beverages in accordance with menu standards, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for guests. Responsibilities include ordering, restocking, room delivery of orders, and preparing food and beverage orders at The Market. The Barista will utilize the POS system to capture orders and process payments. Special tasks or deliveries may be assigned as necessary by the supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guest orders in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare beverages and food items according to menu standards
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests
• Order and restock inventory for The Market
• Deliver orders to guest rooms as needed
• Utilize the POS system to capture orders and process payments
• Perform special tasks or deliveries as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Possess a food handlers’ card and alcohol serving permit

Pay

The salary range for this position is $21.57–$28.04 per hour. The starting rate is $21.57. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on experience, qualifications, and education.
