Position Summary
Responsible for the delivery of customer service within assigned retail unit. Operate Espresso machine. Operate cash register. Manage cash drawer, balance cash drawer, prepare cash register reconciliation reports. Make cash deposits. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Responsibilities
* MAINTENANCE - Maintain department facilities and equipment in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff
* TRAINING - Assist in training of volunteer staff
* CUSTOMER SERVICE - Ensure that each customer receives outstanding Customer Service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service
* MERCHANDISE - Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensure that stock levels and displays are in accordance with established standards
* LOSS PREVENTION - Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
* SALES - Perform accurate and efficient sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS registers. Handle cash and make change as required
* CUSTOMER SERVICE - Communicate customer requests to management
* CUSTOMER SERVICE - Provide assistance with line monitoring, merchandise sacking, floor security, and/or related floor duties
* CUSTOMER SERVICE - Answer telephones and handle routine customer telephone inquiries
* REPORTS - Prepare routine daily reports such as sales, inventory logs, orders, credit card receipts, and/or bank deposits
* CASH - Operate cash register; prepare cash register reconciliation and miscellaneous routine reports
* DISPLAYS - May create displays
* OPEN/CLOSE - Open and close retail unit as assigned
* BARISTA - Operate Espresso machine with skill and efficiency as assigned
* EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
* COORDINATION - Coordinate work activities with co-workers to improve job efficiency
Qualifications
Education:
- Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
Experience:
- Essential: No minimum experience required
- Nonessential: Retail experience
- Espresso Café position: Barista experience
Credentials:
- Essential: Not Applicable/Not Required
Physical Conditions:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Working conditions:
- Essential: No or min hazard, physical risk, office environment
