Barista

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure outlets are open on time.
• Produce quality beverages for customers such as lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks, blended drinks, and coffee.
• Maintain assigned bank each shift.
• Support new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.
• Alert F&B Manager of any inventory shortages or ordering needs.
• Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through.
• Absorb physical inventory when needed.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain general knowledge of the hotel, including locations of dining outlets, pool, and spa to assist guests and members.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
• Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems is preferred.
• Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers certification.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move moderate weights.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Occasional outdoor tasks and travel around property when needed.

Pay

About the Role

The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is a substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, located in the Twin Cities area. It is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. The hotel also offers a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
