About the role

Located in Winston Salem, NC.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and coffee of the day to Starbucks standards.
• Prepares all beverages to standard and hands out quality drinks every time.
• Follows policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
• Follows established safety standards using safe food handling guidelines.
• Maintains a clean work area and immediate surrounding area.
• Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
• Presents oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication by using Star Skills with all customer and partner interactions.
• Fulfills cash handling and register procedures.
• Follows Customer Service Standards by utilizing upgraded language such as, my pleasure, yes Ma’am/sir, genuine smile and eye contact.
• Performs equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Complete training and obtain Barista certification with a score of 90%.
• Nice to have previous Barista experience.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to learn and comply with cash register system and procedures.
• Ability to adjust to the needs of the department.
• Desire to achieve high customer service standards.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including employees, nursing staff, managers, and hospital staff.

Pay

• Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30

Schedule

• Hours: 11:30 am - 8:00 pm including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Work Environment

• Constant standing/walking.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.
• Constant computer/POS Register and bar equipment usage.
• Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication.
• Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
