Bariatric Surgeon

About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a part-time Bariatric Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings across the Atlanta, GA area. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during rounds using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Participate in paid training during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Georgia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• Ability to travel within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• No work visa sponsorship is available

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Typical full-time work week: 45 hours

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.
