Bariatric and Spine Coordinator

About the role

Supports Bariatric and Spine program staff and educators through planning, implementing, and evaluating educational efforts and learning methods (i.e., 1:1 coaching, classroom lectures, power point presentations, e-learning, etc.). Your role will include:

• Solicit feedback from customers.
• Educate customers.
• Become a trusted advisor and build collaborative relationships.
• Identify issues, problems, and opportunities.
• Gather and interpret information.
• Develop direction, structure, and facilitate goal accomplishment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of key financial indicators and build a business case for actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Two to four years scrubbing/circulating experience in/with bariatric and spine surgery, or minimum of two years previous RN clinical experience in an acute care setting or Bariatric and Spine program experience.
• Current Florida State Registered Nurse license or Licensed Dietitian.
• Current BLS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong customer relations, management, and planning skills.
• Must possess strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, families, and the community.

Specific Knowledge Required

• Patient educator.
• Support group leader/champion.
• Aid with website forums.
• Facilitate training for support groups.
• Review and summarize patient psychiatric evaluations.
