Barese Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring interpreters to work remotely from their homes. The company provides training and support in a variety of industries including healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, hospitality, general business, law enforcement, court, and 911.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate and concise interpretations of conversations between Barese and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries' specific terminologies and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences.
• Provide support during emotionally challenging calls.
• Follow client instructions and adhere to protocol.

Requirements

• Fluency in Barese and English.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Cultural competency and ability to handle sensitive topics.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional demeanor and ability to remain neutral during interpreting sessions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Technical proficiency with necessary devices and software.
• Physical stamina to sit for long periods and use a computer.

Pay

$0.75 - $0.90 per minute.

Schedule

This is a remote position where interpreters work from their own home office. A quiet and secure environment is essential.
