About The Role
The Barback is responsible for supporting bartenders by restocking products to ensure smooth operations during events while adhering to all alcohol dispensing policies and procedures. This role is tip-eligible and requires excellent attendance to work events as scheduled.
About The Venue
This position is for the new VyStar Pavilion, a 4,500-seat amphitheater opening in summer 2026. The venue features luxury suites, club seating, and premium food and beverage offerings. It will host national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, skating events, youth and college hockey, and other sporting events.
Responsibilities
- Stock products for the bar, including non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, and ice wells.
- Sweep and mop the bar area.
- Move and tap kegs in and out of keg coolers.
- Draft beer, pour wine for guest orders, and restock supplies such as fruit, napkins, cups, utensils, and stirrers.
- Ensure bar equipment is operable and clean before events.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas, including mopping floors, cleaning and stacking floor mats, emptying and relining trash cans, and keeping storage areas clear.
- Identify and report visibly intoxicated guests to bartenders.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Meet company standards for excellent attendance.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with employees, coworkers, management, and guests to foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
- Valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit, if required by state and federal regulations.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for inventory management.
- Experience working in a high-volume bar is preferred.
Pay
Hourly rate of $14.00–$16.00, plus tips.
