About the Role
The barback acts as the critical support system for our Bartenders. For our bars to function properly, the barback must maintain constant communication with Bartenders and the rest of the Service Team. They ensure the bar is always stocked with necessary items for proper service and expedite guests’ drink orders by providing quick and efficient support.
Responsibilities
- Ensures a seamless guest experience.
- Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers, and other bar appliances in accordance with policies and Health Standards.
- Maintains floors and keeps them free of garbage or debris.
- Ensures the back bar is set properly with all product labels facing forward and pour spouts facing to the left.
- Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meet service standards.
- Stocks assigned bar with products and supplies for the evening and maintains stock throughout each scheduled shift.
- Ensures liquor room, walk-in coolers, and storerooms are always organized and clean.
- Prepares all mixes and garnishes.
- Anticipates the needs of bartenders and server assistants, assisting them as necessary.
Requirements
- Exceptional personality and hospitality-driven attitude.
- Polished, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Able to take initiative in a VIP-driven and guest-service-focused environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains a "sense of urgency" for completing responsibilities/tasks.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a contemporary dining restaurant (preferred).
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight (8)-hour shifts and work inside the assigned bar area.
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.
- Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year based on business volumes.
- Must provide documentation authorizing work in the United States.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a high-end, service-focused environment.
- ANSI-approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by the ABC.
Schedule
Full-time, on-site position requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
