Bar Backup - Hotel

About the role

Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner.

Responsibilities

• Carry supplies and equipment such as wine, spirits, fruits, ice, glassware, tables, chairs, etc.*
• Help set up service bars and portable bars for parties*
• Clean away debris and maintain good order in the bar areas
• Clean all beverage areas
• Deliver wines, spirits and beer and obtain required receipts for the same; and keep all bars stocked*
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older in order to purchase alcohol
• Must have a valid driver's license

Skills & abilities

• Previous bar experience helpful
• Must be well groomed and cordial with guests

Job demands

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and be able to stand for long periods of time
• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority
• Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours
