Primary Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
- Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service.
- Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkin holders.
- Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order.
- Aid with inventories and requisitions to restock bar items.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including quickly responding to spills and other health and safety hazards.
- Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of bartender work and/or drink preparation.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Ability to obtain the following: Alcohol Awareness Card, Food Handling Card, Non-Gaming Card.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of previous experience working in a similar bar or restaurant setting.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged walking/standing.
- Extreme weather conditions.
- Bending and reaching.
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
Work Environment
- Tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
