Banquets Houseperson - Banqueting Operations

About the role

The Banquet Houseman/Steward is responsible for cleaning operations in the Banquets area, ensuring the banquet space is supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs, and setting up banquet areas for events.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for gaming entertainment; builds and retains guest relations and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of the department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and meets Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communication with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Performs work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of progressive experience within a Banquets Department.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a drug screening.
• Must be 21 years of age.
