About the role
The Pfister Hotel is seeking a Banquet Set Up Associate to join its team and contribute to its iconic legacy. This position plays a crucial role in setting up banquet rooms to meet guest specifications and uphold The Pfister's high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain banquet facilities by cleaning and vacuuming all banquet areas.
- Set up banquet rooms according to contracts and guest specifications.
- Provide service to customers as required by banquet contracts.
- Perform breakdown of function rooms after events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of setup areas, including closets, parking ramp (6A), and coatroom.
- Organize, control, and restock linen rooms and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain banquet equipment and storage inventory.
- Work collaboratively as part of the banquet setup team.
- Inform the Banquet Manager of damaged equipment or maintenance needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move heavy equipment (tables, chairs, carts, staging, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull for tasks such as dance floor setup.
- Basic English skills to understand instructions and interact with guests.
- Ability to safely handle products and follow labeling instructions.
- Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days.
Qualifications

Pay
$18.11 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time, flexible hours available.
