About the role
To serve food and beverages as ordered, to banquet functions guests, as well as set banquet rooms.
Essential Duties
- To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- To greet all banquet functions guests in a professional and sincere manner.
- To set-up and replenish all buffets and food stations, including coffee breaks.
- To set-up and break-down all banquet functions.
- To provide prompt, efficient, and gracious customer service to banquet functions guests, including serving cocktails and food during reception hours; handling cash bar transactions; serving all food and beverages during functions; and assisting to bus tables, as service requires.
- To assist, as directed, with room set-up and breakdown, including setting and decorating tables; folding napkins; preparing condiments; filling salt, pepper, and sugar containers; and breaking down and storing tables and chairs.
- To be completely familiar with prospectus sheet and menu for each banquet function, prior to service.
- To communicate all concerns with Banquet Captain.
- To perform all side duties as directed.
- To follow all policies and procedures of the banquet department and the Temecula Creek Inn.
- To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
- To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
- To comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.
- To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
- To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Requirements
Knowledge + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required. Must have minimum one-year similar experience. Must know fundamentals of beverage mixing, inventory and pars, and glass types and uses. Must have large drink recipe knowledge. May be required to have a valid California driver's license, and to show proof of personal automobile insurance coverage. Hotel experience preferred.

Physical Demands
- Stands/walks short distances throughout shift.
- Frequently required to handle and carry ice tubs, beverage cases, and other objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over short to long distances.
- Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 200 lbs. over short to long distances, using appropriate hand trucks and carts.
- Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 400 lbs. over short to long distances, using appropriate hand trucks and carts.
- Bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and lifts to perform routine job tasks.
- Uses stairs frequently, throughout shift.
Pay
16.50 per hour
