Cambria Hotel Nashville Downtown is located near Broadway’s neon marquees, live music scene, and iconic hotspots, embodying the soul of rock and roll. This Music City original blends boutique comfort with full-service amenities, a distinctly southern vibe, and a modern edge. The property features 255 guest rooms and 4,055 sq. ft. of event space.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team. This role involves setting up and preparing banquet rooms, serving and bussing tables, and breaking down rooms after functions. Responsibilities

• Set up for functions, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces.
• Serve food and beverages, including picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, and clearing tables.
• Break down banquet rooms, including bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Clean and organize the back hall and storerooms.
• Set up AM or PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
• Perform food and beverage preparation duties, such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and stocking workstations.
• Remove dishes, glasses, silverware, and other items from tables/countertops and transport them to the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and seats after guests are finished.
• Explain menu items, including preparation methods and ingredients, while accommodating special requests and dietary needs.
• Provide general property information and offer a warm, sincere welcome and farewell to guests.
• Interact professionally with staff and assist other departments as needed.
• Ensure a final quality check on food and beverage items before serving guests.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service needs.
• Address guest issues promptly and with high concern.
• Provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons).

Requirements

• 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably in Banquet service.
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

$7.50 per hour.
