Responsibilities
- Maintain and refine service standards.
- Ensure compliance with hotel and local laws.
- Comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Prepare for health department and Ecosure inspections.
- Perform tasks such as polishing, brewing, cleaning, and serving food and beverages for banquets.
- Set up and break down banquet spaces and equipment.
- Ensure high-quality service and presentation for meetings and events.
- Assist with food and beverage assembly and plate-up.
- Pick up and deliver clean linens and manage waste.
- Report to management for any maintenance or housekeeping needs.
- Maintain banquet areas and equipment to a high standard.
- Handle emergencies and ensure a safe working environment.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings to prepare for events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests.
- Communicate effectively and respond to guest requests.
- Engage guests at all levels and provide personalized service.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
Qualifications
- Hands-on food and beverage knowledge.
- Relevant serving experience in a large convention hotel.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- On-time attendance and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Personal hygiene and appearance standards.
- Clear, concise communication skills.
- Serve Safe certification and Unexpired TEAMs.
