Banquet Server

Job Summary

The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort is seeking team players who can prepare and serve at a variety of functions and events, contributing to the success of the resort with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare function rooms for banquet service: tablecloths, table decorations, silverware and condiments etc.
• Serve at various banquet functions, indoors and outdoors; serve non-alcoholic drinks, bring food to guests at table or serve on a buffet line.
• Clean and clear function rooms after event.
• Complete all side work responsibilities as directed by management.
• Maintain quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items using appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Aid other servers when needed.
• Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Personal Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him/herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Actively listens to others. Is respectful of peers, supervisors, managers and co-workers.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• If weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is required.
