Banquet Manager Hotel Northland Green Bay, WI

Job Purpose

Manage banquet service operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service and compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding Customer Service/financial goals. Position is responsible for long and short term planning and day-to-day operations of the banquet section. Recommends policy and procedural changes. Implements and monitors and department's budget and manages expenses within approved budget constraints.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the catering, food and beverage and hospitality professions.
• Requires ability to investigate and analyze current activities and/or information involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations.
• Able to make occasional decisions which are generally guided by established policies and procedures.
• Good oral and communications skills.
• Second language preferred.
• Must have professional appearance and attitude.
• Excellent hearing necessary for verbal interaction with guests and associates.
• Excellent vision necessary to view set-ups.
• Excellent speech communication skills required for verbal interaction with guests and associates.
• Excellent literacy necessary to read BEOs, process gratuities and payroll, etc.
