We are seeking a dependable and energetic Banquet Houseperson to support the successful setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet and event functions. This role is essential in creating exceptional guest experiences by ensuring event spaces are clean, organized, and prepared according to event specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and audiovisual equipment.
- Break down and reset banquet spaces after events in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist banquet servers and management with event operations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, storage areas, and service stations.
- Transport tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies safely throughout the property.
- Ensure all function rooms meet hotel standards for appearance and cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to guest and event team requests.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment to management.
- Assist with special event setups and room changes as business needs require.
Requirements
- Previous hospitality, banquet, or event setup experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift, move, and arrange banquet furniture and equipment.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work indoors and occasionally outdoors depending on event needs.
- Perform repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
