About the role

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The Banquet Cook prepares menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment while adhering to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. This role focuses on portion control, minimizing food waste, and maintaining sanitation.

This is a part-time position with an hourly pay rate of $18.00 - $20.00.

Responsibilities

• Cook and plate food products while maintaining quality and production standards for all menu items.
• Ensure food is fresh and of high quality when served to guests.
• Maintain portion control and proper serving temperatures for all prepared products.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations as needed.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens.
• Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away, and floors are swept and mopped at the end of each shift.
• Check out with the floor supervisor before ending the shift to confirm concession stand cleanliness standards are met.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance as per company standards.

Requirements

• Cooking experience is preferred, particularly in a banquet, buffet, prep cook, or batch cook setting.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests to foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
