Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook banquet menu items according to recipes, event specifications, and brand standards
  • Aid in large-scale food preparation for events, banquets, tournaments, and special functions
  • Set up and break down banquet production stations efficiently before and after service
  • Affirm all food is prepared and served according to quality and portion standards
  • Coordinate with the Chef, Kitchen Manager, and event team to ensure timely food service for scheduled events
  • Aid in prep work including chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling dishes
  • Support kitchen operations by working various stations as needed, including line, prep, dish, or other production areas as directed by the Chef or General Manager
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures
  • Aid in inventory rotation, prep lists, and kitchen organization
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipment throughout service
  • Support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service periods
  • Uphold safety standards and proper use of kitchen tools and equipment
  • Contribute to a professional and team-oriented kitchen culture

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of cooking experience in a banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen environment preferred
  • Experience with large-batch food preparation and event service preferred
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, sharp tools, noise, and commercial equipment
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds

Schedule

  • Includes nights, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules
  • Pickup peak service periods requiring coordinated food production for large groups and events

Pay

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour
