Responsibilities
- Prepare food for banquet functions according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), recipes, and established specifications.
- Aid in the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events.
- Ensure all food meets quality, presentation, and portion standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products.
- Assist with inventory management and communicate product needs to supervisors.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with the banquet and culinary teams to ensure timely service for all events.
- Support the hotel's hallmarks and service standards.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency while producing quality food in a high-volume environment.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, catering, or banquet environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Culinary education or equivalent experience preferred.
