Responsibilities
- Help direct and lead the F&B team with service, set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.
- Assist in leading the performance of all hourly banquet food and beverage servers and houseman and is the personal representative of the property to banquet guests.
- Cooking and serving food and beverages to guests, removing dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables/counter tops and taking them to the kitchen.
- Cleaning and sanitizing tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished.
- Explaining how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods and ingredients.
- Taking into consideration any special request and dietary issues made by the guest.
- Provides general property information. Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.
- Interacts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons).
- Providing training and guidance to banquet staff as needed.
- Resolve any issues or complaints quickly and professionally.
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Captain to join our team! This individual will help direct and lead the F&B team with service, set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function. Assisting the Banquet Manager or F&B Manager, this individual will lead the performance of all hourly banquet food and beverage servers and houseman and is the personal representative of the property to banquet guests. They will coordinate all aspects of the F&B event, to ensure and enhance guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably Banquet service.
- Experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue with synchronized service.
- Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
- Excellent communication skills.

$30.00 - $35.00
Schedule
Banquet events typically take place over the weekend so you must have availability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
