Banquet Attendant

About the Position

The Banquet Attendant assists in setting up events according to specifications and in tearing down after it is over. This role serves food and beverage items to event guests in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. The Banquet Attendant ensures guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arises.

Responsibilities

• Prepares function and event site and assures area is set according to specifications
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) or as directed
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager/supervisor
• Sets and tears down event spaces following a banquet function to room ready standards

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older
• Experience in serving, banquets/events, or customer service experience in the food industry is highly preferred
• Regular and reliable attendance is required
• Must be able to work varying weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Must be able to stand, walk, and carry food trays for long periods of time
• A positive attitude and team player
• Ability to provide quality customer service to guests
• Must have regular and reliable transportation
