Bankruptcy Specialist II

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews and updates MSP/LPS with bankruptcy information.
• Maintains and monitors bankruptcy actions through Process Management and default reports.
• Communicates with attorneys, trustees, taxing authorities, and other third parties to ensure timely resolution on all cases.
• Timely responds to all incoming correspondence regarding assigned loans.
• Handles inquiries by responding to emails, intercoms, managing document execution escalations, resolving title issues, and other related tasks.
• Works within internal MSP tracking queues and removes files from bankruptcy as necessary.
• Participates in departmental progress to reduce timeline delays.
• Knowledgeable in creating and updating reconciliation ledgers for chapter 13s.

Education/Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• An associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college is preferred.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training are preferred.

Computer Skills

• Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Previous experience with MSP and Black Knight/LPS is preferred.
