Bankruptcy Attorney

Our client, a well-established national law firm, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join its growing Nevada practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling complex bankruptcy matters, representing institutional creditors, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured creditors in Nevada bankruptcy courts and will be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution while providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Represent institutional mortgage lenders and loan servicers in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters.
• Handle all phases of bankruptcy litigation, including:
  • Proofs of Claim
  • Motions for Relief from Stay
  • Plan review and objections
  • Loan modification and loss mitigation matters
  • Post-petition compliance
• Develop legal strategy and provide guidance on complex bankruptcy and creditor-rights issues.
• Research and analyze federal, state, and local bankruptcy laws and case law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and court filings.
• Attend hearings and mediations throughout Nevada.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Nevada Bar in good standing.
• 2–3+ years of bankruptcy experience, including at least one year representing creditors in Nevada bankruptcy courts.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage files from start to finish.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.
