Banking Academy at UC Davis

About the role

River City Bank will host a ten-week career learning program called Banking Academy starting in January 2027 at UC Davis. The program introduces students to careers in finance, accounting, and economics while exploring how commercial banks impact industries such as commercial real estate and clean energy. Participants will complete an underwriting case study based on real-world scenarios and present their work to a panel of senior managers.

Schedule

• Start date: January 2027
• Sessions: Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. to Noon

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree, typically in the second, third, or fourth year of study
• Major in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Note: Selected participants are not hired as employees and do not perform work for the Bank. This is an unpaid educational program.
