About the Role
Join our branch team as a Senior Sales & Service Representative and make a difference by supporting sales and service delivery. You will build and expand banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and service requests, fulfilling deposit accounts, payment solutions, and digital access products. Identify and refer sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner while adapting to branch needs in both transaction processing and sales roles.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results aligned with assigned metrics and goals, supporting the bank’s commitment to diverse lending.
- Engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach.
- Represent the bank in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events to generate business and identify potential CRA opportunities.
- Use sales practices that create value for both the customer and the bank, ensuring conversations provide relevant financial guidance.
- Foster collaborative partnerships to deliver value for customers, prospects, and colleagues.
- Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities, listen attentively, and address customer needs promptly.
- Proactively optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting bank initiatives, and leveraging tools to enhance activities.
- Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of interactions and transactions.
- Complete required training by established deadlines.
- Perform general office management duties to ensure operational efficiency, including transaction accuracy and accountability for individual and team performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience in sales or customer service; or 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank; or participation in a First Citizens career development program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred: Experience in telephone sales.
