Bank Maintenance Person
About the role
At Acorns Children’s Hospice, we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our aim at Acorns is to help families feel equipped to cope at every stage of their child’s life with dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support.
Responsibilities
- Plan and undertake minor repairs
- Be responsible for routine maintenance of the hospice and grounds in line with the planned maintenance schedule
- Ensure that the maintenance is carried out within set budgetary requirements
- Monitor chemical treatments and plant for the safe use of the hydrotherapy pool and spa
Requirements
You will need previous experience of working within a general maintenance role, ability to complete risk assessments, and ability to undertake basic maintenance tasks. You must also be able to travel to our sites in Walsall, Worcester and Birmingham.
What we offer
- £15.39 per hour
- Bank shifts
What you need to know
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible to work in the UK. Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references. Candidates will also be asked to provide evidence of immunisation against specific diseases or confirm their willingness to receive the necessary vaccinations.
