Bander Operator - Nights

About the Role

We are looking for a Bander Operator to join our team at our Devens, MA location. You will be trained to operate our corrugator and converting machines to ready product for shipment. You will learn to perform routine maintenance, adjust machine settings to achieve desired dimensions and quality, and inspect corrugated products for defects, taking corrective actions as needed. You will communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met safely with quality products.

Responsibilities

• Operate corrugator and converting machines to ready product for shipment
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine and adjust machine settings to achieve desired dimensions and quality of the corrugated products
• Inspect the corrugated products for defects and take corrective actions as needed
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met safely with quality products
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Assist with other tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading materials or operating other machinery and mentoring new team members

Requirements

• A safety mindset
• Experience with high-speed, high-volume work
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, able to read a tape measure and identify product defects
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Willingness to work required overtime including Saturdays
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts if overtime is necessary

Qualifications

• Hablamos Español! Basic English is helpful
• Our facility is not climate controlled

Pay

$21.76 an hour, plus a $0.50/hr shift differential for 3rd shift. Bander Operators make $24 an hour plus shift diff upon completion of training.

Schedule

3rd Shift, 9pm-5am. Training starts on dayshift regardless of what shift you are hired for. The plant works Monday thru Friday, and on Saturdays if necessary. Must be flexible to work daily and/or weekend overtime.
