About the role
This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while supporting efficient manufacturing operations and delivering high-quality products. You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently, production goals are achieved, and quality standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Observe all safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements while operating equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed production equipment with robotic elements.
- Inspect materials before, during, and after production to ensure quality standards are met.
- Record and report quality concerns or material deficiencies to the appropriate supervisor or Quality department.
- Maintain tooling and equipment required to complete production safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose equipment and product quality issues while minimizing scrap and production delays.
- Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete production, changeover, and scrap reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist the Maintenance team with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance.
- Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions.
- Experience using precision measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset.
