About the role
MISTAFF is seeking a dedicated educator to fill a full-time position in a K-12 alternative certification program. This role will support aspiring educators in their journey towards becoming certified teachers.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to alternative certification candidates.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of candidate progress.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the success of the alternative certification program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- Experience working with alternative certification programs or similar educational initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check.
- Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one within a year.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of state and federal education policies.
