Band Operator

About the Role

As a large equipment operator with Contech, you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Adhere to Contech's Employee Expectations.
• Complete pre-shift daily audit.
• Select correct sheet type/length based off of daily band schedule.
• Operate Forklift, coil buggy, or overhead crane to position sheets at rolls.
• Adjust rolls to form correct diameter.
• Feed band sheet into roll form.
• Spot weld or hand weld various types of fasteners to formed band sheet.
• Paint welds if necessary.
• Move finished product to designated areas.
• Complete production/quality control paperwork.
• Complete post-shift daily paperwork.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
