Bakery Technician

About the role

Affinity Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Bakery Technician to join their growing team. This role involves in-store training, program execution, and product support for retail bakery partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-store training and support for bakery operations
• Educate teams on baking techniques, cake decorating, and merchandising
• Aid with new store openings and remodels, ensuring smooth bakery launches
• Be the trusted partner for retail clients, offering guidance, feedback, and hands-on help
• Champion manufacturer products through training, sales support, and field execution
• Travel frequently and work flexible hours to meet store and training needs

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a bakery or foodservice setting
• Cake decorating skills and a solid understanding of bakery operations
• A knack for teaching and motivating others, with training experience a plus
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
• A self-starter mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort using basic technology (email, mobile devices, Microsoft Office)

Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, early AM to mid PM, with some evenings or weekends as needed
• Travel: 95% travel required (daily), with occasional overnight stays. Valid driver's license required
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30 lbs, work in coolers/freezers, and operate industrial bakery equipment

Pay

The pay range for this position is $XX-$YY per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
