Bakery Production Manager (BOH)

About the role

The Production Manager at SusieCakes leads the culinary operation by managing the baking and production of delicious cakes and other baked goods in-house. They are responsible for ensuring the highest quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, train, and develop the culinary team members in the production category through adherence to recipes and standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, cakes, cookies, pies, bars, puddings, buttercreams, etc.
• Lead the team in the production of custom baked goods.
• Develop and train skills in mixing, baking, and building.
• Assign daily production to team members and ensure completion.
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards.

Qualifications

• Ace in Culinary, Baking, or Pastry Arts preferred.
• Two years of leadership experience in a team environment.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift, move, and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Able to taste product for quality assurance i.e buttercream(s), cake(s) and cupcake(s), batter, cookie dough and other recipes as assigned.
