Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer experience with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service, to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other teammates.
• Follows all technical manuals for processing of products, including label placement and packaging.
• Ensure that receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with company and vendor guidelines.
• Report or correct all unsafe conditions that could cause teammate or guest accidents.
• Report all teammate and guest accidents in accordance with established company policy to the manager on duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Update displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
• Prep, store, rotate and stock merchandise.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers, which may include: substituting for absent teammates and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to guests during peak periods of business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Woods Supermarket.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous guest service.
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of store teammates.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Ability to establish goals, guide teammate performance to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments.
• Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others.
• Ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler and perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail.
• Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Physical Demands

• This position will be required to regularly perform the following motions: Sit, Stand, Stoop, Squat, Bend, Reach, Push, Pull, Grip, Twist, Lift, Carry, Walk, and Kneel.
• The teammate must be able to perform the above motions “frequently” and “occasionally” under the strength level highlighted on the positions job description/physical capacity release form.
• Teammates performing in these roles are required to meet the minimum physical capacity so that they may safely perform their job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Safety

• The teammate will not use drugs or alcohol on the job.
