About the Role

As a Bakery Clerk, you'll play a key role in creating memorable moments for our guests. You'll assist guests in finding bakery items, take special orders, and package products with care. Your creativity will contribute to our bakery offerings, enhancing both special occasions and everyday moments. We are currently seeking candidates with morning availability, preferably starting at 4am.

Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Guest Service
  • Greet guests warmly and address questions or concerns with professionalism.
  • Assist guests in locating specific bakery items and handle special requests.
  • Take accurate orders for cakes and other custom bakery products.
  • Answer phone calls courteously, providing helpful information.
• Merchandising
  • Package and price items while maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
  • Replenish bakery products to ensure availability and appealing displays.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, restocking promptly to meet demand.
• Food Safety
  • Ensure product freshness by rotating stock and removing outdated items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Uphold Festival's quality standards for product quantity and presentation.
• Flexibility
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor Commitments
  • Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule.
  • Provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

Requirements

• Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stand for extended periods (80% of the time).
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (20% of the time).
  • Frequently work near moving machinery (50% of the time).
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of the time).

Schedule

This position offers flexibility for both part-time and full-time hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability. Schedules are provided two weeks in advance for better planning and balance.
