About the role

The Bakery Clerk position at El Super is a fast-paced role where you'll provide excellent customer service, love your community, and love food. You'll work in the bakery department, assisting customers with their purchases, cleaning shelves and display cases, taking special orders, and helping with department cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean and fill self-service displays both inside and outside the store.
• Work with customers to place special orders.
• Collaborate with the baker to decide which items need baking or decorating.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the department by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate with customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
