Bakery Clerk - 079 Houston-Westheimer (ages 16-17)

About the role

The Bakery Clerk position at Fiesta Mart Store 079 Houston-Westheimer (ages 16-17) requires candidates to provide excellent customer service, interact with the general public and co-workers, read and write Spanish/English, and perform various tasks within the bakery.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self serve displays.
• Work with customers to take special orders.
• Work with the Baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Help in the department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write Spanish/English.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

• Reading and writing proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Physical abilities to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
