Job Summary
Aids in the daily operations of the bakery department. Enhances customer confidence and loyalty through consistent and compliant operating conditions. Serves fresh and appealing products with courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service.
Responsibilities
SERVICE: 60%
- Create welcoming, respectful, and appreciative environments for customers.
- Ensure daily conditions meet company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value.
- Offer product samples, answer questions, and assist customers in finding or suggesting products.
- Handle customer requests and special orders promptly and accurately.
LEADERSHIP: 20%
- Promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration, teamwork, and clear communication.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
FINANCIAL: 10%
- Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies.
- Inspect and package products for sale, preparing and labeling them according to company standards.
- Utilize production planning tools to ensure accurate production of fresh products and follow discard or markdown processes.
- Maintain proper temperatures for food safety and document temperature logs.
COMPLIANCE/SAFETY: 10%
- Maintain company standards for safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
- Comply with regulatory requirements for food safety, USDA & COOL, and DOA.
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly, securing and removing items from customer access.
- Report and address safety risks, illegal activities, and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations.

- Supervisory experience: 0 - 3 years minimum
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.

- Strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
- Operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines.
