Bakery Associate

As an associate of Heinen’s you will learn, implement and master key components that distinguish us as the premier supermarket in Northeast Ohio and Chicago. These include:

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the Bakery Department.
• Write orders using effective pars and planning.
• Work as a team to complete daily tasks, including scanning and recording shrink, order writing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising.
• Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards.
• Comply with all personal and food safety standards.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with all company policies and standards.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production-driven with the ability to work continuously on repetitive tasks while standing.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work the number of hours required to meet company objectives, including occasional additional time.
• Willingness to work a non-traditional five-day schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions, hot or cold.
