Baker + Paster Maker: Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks

About the Role

Eastern Standard is seeking an experienced baker to join its Bakery and Pastry Department. Ideal candidates are passionate about fresh milled flour, fermentation, classic baking techniques, and fresh pasta production. This role thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce, and bake artisan breads, enriched rolls, and viennoiserie.
• Set time and speed controls for mixing or blending machines to follow instructions.
• Accurately measure or weigh ingredients using scales or graduated containers.
• Prepare garnishes for baked goods as needed.
• Maintain adequate supply of prepared products with proper storage and refrigeration.
• Minimize food waste by ordering and rotating products efficiently.
• Clean, break down, and store baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, and refrigerators.
• Assist in pasta production for both Eastern Standard and Standard Italian.

Pay

$21–$23/hour.
