Baker- Paris Baguette

About the role

As a Baker, you will be passionate about baking, quality, and creating delicious desserts. You will help achieve our mission to bring expertly crafted baked and brewed goods to our guests through a warm and welcoming bakery café experience that delivers joy to everyone.

Responsibilities

• Fry donuts, place toppings, and decorate pastries and bread as needed
• Carry out kitchen operations and production tasks
• Bake recipes and prepare all desserts
• Perform general oven duties, including checking dough conditioner
• Prepare all needed materials and ingredients
• Scale and shape all breads, loaves, and pastries
• Follow sanitization procedures and maintain overall cleanliness of work station and kitchen
• Apply general knowledge of production methods and organization of bread production
• Prioritize and complete all assigned daily baking tasks
• Ensure the workplace is safe and hygienic for all employees and guests
• Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
• Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly or when food supplies are low
• Complete reports for production, usage, and waste records
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of food production processes, sanitization, and quality programs
• Understanding of food production techniques, food microbiology, and food sanitary safety practices/procedures
• Familiarity with food safety, food labeling, and nutrition-related regulations (including FDA)
• Confectionery or Foods major recommended
• Food Handler's Certificate preferred
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to work with and manage diverse teams by being empathetic, intuitive, self-motivated, and driven
• Commitment to teamwork and fostering a collaborative, engaged environment
