About the role

We are seeking talented individuals to join our team in Bluffton, IN. As a key member of our baking department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our pretzel products.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product quality.
• Recognize and manage different dough textures throughout the production process.
• Operate large mixers and extruders with computer programming and manual measurements.
• Measure minor ingredients accurately and document cuts per minute.
• Check and record caustic levels every 30 minutes and document on BakerQC.
• Create inventory moves in S4 Hana and record all ingredient lot numbers.
• Keep the salter full with the correct level and notify relevant personnel of any issues.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any problems encountered.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One month of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment, including knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and other relevant certifications.
• Skills in Autonomous/Preventative Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Warehouse Management Systems such as SAP/LPR.
