About the role
The Baker-Bluffton Plant is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our team. Located in Bluffton, IN, we are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards for our Dot’s Pretzels products.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent product quality.
- Recognize and manage different dough textures throughout the production process.
- Ensure hoppers are filled with the appropriate amount of dough and measure minor ingredients accurately.
- Check dough temperature, operate and maintain various machinery, and document key metrics.
- Create inventory moves in S4 Hana and record all ingredient lot numbers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, QA personnel, and packers regarding product issues and their resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One month of related experience or training preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment, particularly in areas like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as SAP/LPR.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
