About the role
The Baker at Lifestyle Communities (LC) is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods to support daily restaurant operations. This role requires adherence to recipes, accurate ingredient measurement, safe operation of baking equipment, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake bread, pastries, desserts, and other baked items according to recipes and production schedules.
- Measure, mix, and scale ingredients with accuracy and consistency.
- Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other baking equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking and prep areas.
- Store ingredients properly and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Cook with long periods of standing and walking throughout the kitchen and service areas.
- Handle food and beverage objects, reach and extend with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to focus.
- Work in a kitchen environment including heat and steam.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of related kitchen service experience required.
