Baker - 2nd Shift

University Staff position in Dining and Retail Services.

About the role

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Baker to prepare food and complete related tasks according to quality and safety standards to ensure satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. This position will also provide oversight for the set-up and maintenance of the Bakery, perform baking and related activities, and work closely with students, student managers, and limited-term employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods including yeast products (40%)
• Assist student employees and provide training as needed (10%)
• Assist with recipe and menu development and testing (25%)
• Adhere to federal, state, campus, and local safety regulations, policies, and procedures (15%)
• Clean, inspect, and maintain bakery equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality, handling, and sanitation processes and procedures (10%)

Schedule

Evening and weekend shifts are required with a tentative schedule of Sunday - Thursday: 10:30am - 7:00pm and Sunday: 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 an hour

Requirements

• Six months of food service experience in a professional setting

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience in a professional setting
• ServSafe Certification, Food Handler or Manager Certification
• Experience leading and/or training staff
• Experience in a customer service environment
