About the role
The Bag Line Operator at the Wayland location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant.
Responsibilities
- Operate the bagger system and maintain the system as required to sustain production.
- Operate Labeler, checkweigher, and robot bag stacker.
- Inspect, clean, efficiently operate, start-up, shut down, changeover, make minor adjustments on assigned equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment to ensure efficient production of products as scheduled.
- Ensure all materials required to run the line remain stocked.
- Utilize appropriate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc. in accordance with their SOPs.
- Perform associated continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in the training of other team members as needed.
- Must be able to operate lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be able to read a production schedule and supply components and ingredients to the proper workstations without interruptions to production.
- Must be able to keep accurate and legible records.
- Must be able to keep up speed to keep Bag Line in operation.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills and possess willingness and aptitude to learn.
- Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, foods safety programs and all other policies established by TreeHouse Foods.
- Maintain Quality packaging for the customer.
- Ensure lot codes are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
- Experience with operating a sit-down forklift.
- The ability to work overtime and weekends.
Qualifications

Pay
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday on 2nd shift. 2nd shift operates from 4pm to 12am Shift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shift.
