Badging Security Processing Specialist

Responsibilities
- Process applicants, including foreign nationals and foreign travelers, through security procedures to determine eligibility for clearance and prepare security documentation.
- Evaluate and verify applicant-supplied information for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify the applicant’s identity and citizenship.
- Fingerprint applicant employees, contractors, volunteers, etc.
- Process fingerprint cards received from tentative employees/non-employees.
- Capture biometric photographs for Personal Identity Verification.
- Participate in onboarding activities related to New Employee Orientation (NEO).
- Work with Security Specialists to ensure paperwork/badges are ready for NEO.
- Maintain databases and assure quality control of information. Conduct the badging process.
- Troubleshoot badge or badging equipment issues.
- Provide briefings on the personnel security process.
- Provide process improvement recommendations.
- Provide administrative functions / support.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with requirements of the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
- Familiarity with Federal Information Processing Standards 201-1 (FIPS 201-1).
- Good knowledge of MS Office 365 and its constituent programs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- 2 years of experience in the security field.
- Desired: Knowledge of personnel security processes in the federal government.
- Desired: Familiarity with Service Now.

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $56,000 USD - $78,000 USD.
