Backhoe (Excavator) Operator
Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Backhoe (Excavator) Operator for the Central Water Region - Doe Branch Project in Little Elm, TX. About the role
The Backhoe (Excavator) Operator’s primary function is to operate a backhoe at the worksite to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate a backhoe to dig, excavate, and move/transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
- Knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment; oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of operating experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Must comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
- Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Pay
Compensation for this role is limited to base pay and listed benefits. No truck allowance, per diem, relocation assistance, fuel reimbursement, or other allowances are provided.
Full-time position in the Water Division.
